Wisdom Teeth Removal in Inglewood

Wisdom Teeth Removal in Inglewood for Comfortable, Expert Care
That deep ache at the very back of your jaw rarely settles on its own. When third molars press against gum tissue or stay trapped under bone, the pressure builds until chewing, sleeping, and opening wide start to hurt. Wisdom teeth removal in Inglewood is the right answer for many patients, though it should begin with an honest evaluation rather than an automatic decision to extract. Our Inglewood team reads your X-rays with you, explains what we see, and talks through your sedation choices before anything gets scheduled.

Our Personalized Wisdom Teeth Removal Process in Our Inglewood Clinic
Wisdom teeth removal is the surgical extraction of one or more third molars, the last teeth to erupt at the back of the jaw. In our Inglewood clinic, the wisdom teeth removal procedure follows the same clear stages whether you need a single wisdom tooth removal or all four taken out in one visit.
- Wisdom teeth evaluation and imaging. We start with a wisdom teeth examination and a panoramic X-ray. Digital X-rays show the angle of each tooth, how close the roots sit to the nerve canal, and how much jawbone covers the crown.
- Diagnosis you can actually see. We show you the image and name the situation: erupted wisdom teeth, partially erupted wisdom teeth, soft tissue impaction, partial bony impaction, or complete bony impaction. Wisdom teeth impaction changes the plan, so you hear the reasoning before you agree to anything.
- Comfort planning. Before the appointment, we agree on your dental anesthesia. Local anesthesia suits many straightforward cases, while nitrous oxide sedation or IV sedation is available for longer surgical wisdom teeth removal or for patients who feel real dread in the chair.
- The extraction appointment. A fully erupted tooth often comes out with a routine tooth extraction procedure. Impacted wisdom tooth removal usually needs a small opening in the gum tissue, and the tooth may be sectioned to protect the jawbone and nearby teeth. Most single extractions run about 20 to 45 minutes, and all four third molars typically take 60 to 90 minutes.
- Recovery and aftercare. You leave with gauze in place, written post-operative care instructions, and a number to call. We check in on your wisdom teeth recovery and see you again if anything feels off.
Expert wisdom teeth removal starts with accurate diagnosis, not a rushed extraction. Ready to find out where your third molars stand? Book a wisdom teeth evaluation at our Aviation Blvd office.

Why Inglewood Patients Choose Toothopia Dental for Wisdom Teeth Extraction
Local patients tell us the same two things: they want a straight answer about whether the teeth need to come out, and they want the visit to fit around work. A single wisdom tooth extraction and a four-tooth case are not the same appointment, and Toothopia plans them differently. Our Inglewood office sits on Aviation Blvd near the LAX corridor, which matters when you are scheduling oral surgery around shift work, a school term, or airport traffic.
What that looks like in practice:
- A real reason for every recommendation. Not every third molar has to go. We recommend third molar extraction when there is decay the toothbrush cannot reach, recurring gum infection, cysts forming around the crown, tooth crowding, or measurable damage to nearby teeth.
- Problems caught before they escalate. Partially erupted wisdom teeth trap food and bacteria, which drives cavities, gum disease, and pericoronitis. Left alone, wisdom teeth infection can spread and threaten the jawbone.
- Sedation that matches the patient, not the schedule. Nervous patients get a slower pace, clear signals to pause, and a sedation option they choose themselves.
- One team through the whole case. Your wisdom teeth surgery, follow-up, and aftercare questions stay with the same familiar faces.

What Inglewood Patients Say About Our Wisdom Tooth Removal Treatment
I'm forever grateful for Toothopia and all their whole staff! Every time I come here I feel incredibly welcomed and everyone is so friendly, understanding and kind. A big thanks to Kelly and Georgina! I still have a lot of work to get done on my teeth but today I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Nadia and Victoria for taking care of me today and doing an amazing job on teeth!
The staff is outstanding, always helpful. Kelly has been a lot of help with keeping my balance straight, lol. She good at what she does. Dr. Michelle does outstanding work, I highly recommend her for all your dental work. My crown fit perfect, the color matched all the rest of my teeth. I’m so pleased with the work that I’ve had done.
I came here because my tooth was hurting. My gum had receded and exposed the root. They told me that my gums were never going to grow back and and that a deep cleaning was required to stop the recession and that later on skin grafting could restore my gums over the root. They also told me I had 12 cavities that needed to be filled. My prior dentist a year earlier told me my teeth were fine. They canceled my regular cleaning, as it was not sufficient for the amount of disarray in my mouth, and took me into a little room to discuss my several thousand dollar treatment solution. The woman there told me that I needed to go to my employer and get the higher level dental insurance so that I would only need to pay about $3k out of pocket. I left in a panic and asked my parents if we had a family history of complete mouth disintegration around age 30. They said no, and advised me to find another dentist. I bought a water pick and spent a few months religiously cleaning my gums and using the fancy mouthwash and my gums grew back over the root and no longer hurts(that advice was thanks to Dr. Google). Then, I found another dentist who took another set of X-rays and was astounded to hear him finish his exam and say “everything looks good, no cavities, just some minor plaque buildup and we’ll get that off right now”. Hope this can help someone else save some hard earned money.

Wisdom Teeth Extraction Questions from Inglewood Patients
Our Inglewood clinic offers local anesthesia, nitrous oxide sedation, and IV sedation, and we help you pick the one that fits the case and your comfort level. Local anesthesia is enough for most simple extractions. Nitrous oxide suits patients who feel anxious but want to stay alert, while IV sedation is often the better choice for multiple impacted teeth or longer oral surgery. If you are searching for sedation dentistry near me in Inglewood, note that IV sedation requires a responsible adult to drive you home.
Yes. Every case starts with a wisdom teeth evaluation, a clinical exam, and a panoramic X-ray before any recommendation is made. We look at eruption angle, root position, bone coverage, and the health of the teeth beside the third molars. If your wisdom teeth are erupting cleanly, are easy to keep clean, and are causing no crowding or decay, we will tell you to keep them and monitor them at your regular checkups.
Yes. We accept most major dental insurance plans, and our Inglewood front desk verifies your benefits before treatment so there are no surprises. You get a written plan showing your coverage, and payment options are explained upfront. Call the office near you at 310-643-6221 and we will check your plan while you wait.
