Gum Lift in Inglewood Using Modern Laser Techniques for Comfortable Gum Reshaping

A smile can look out of balance when too much gum tissue covers the teeth, or when the gum line sits unevenly from one side to the other. A gum lift in Inglewood gently reshapes that excess gum tissue with a precise dental laser, giving your teeth a more proportioned, symmetrical look without heavy cutting or stitches. At Toothopia Dental in Inglewood, we use laser gum contouring to sculpt the gum line comfortably, often in a single visit.

If a gummy smile or short-looking teeth have held back your confidence, call us at 310-643-6221 to book your consultation.

Gum Contouring Evaluation at Our Inglewood Clinic

At Toothopia Dental, every gum lift procedure starts with a careful evaluation because the right amount of tissue to reshape depends on your gums, your teeth, and the way your smile frames them. During this first visit, we check your gum health, measure your tooth-and-gum ratio, and look at how much excess gum display shows when you smile and speak.

A gum contouring evaluation with our team usually involves:

  1. A review of your gum health, checking for inflammation, deep pockets, or signs of gum disease that should be treated first.
  2. An assessment of your gum line symmetry and tooth proportion, so we can plan an even, natural-looking result.
  3. A discussion of your goals, whether you want to reduce a gummy smile, even out an uneven gum line, or prepare for porcelain veneers.
  4. A personalized treatment plan that outlines the laser approach, the expected recovery period, and whether a gingivectomy or crown lengthening better suits your case.

Many Inglewood patients tell us they were unsure whether their concern was purely cosmetic or a sign of a deeper issue, and the evaluation answers that clearly. Ready to find out what your smile needs? Call 310-643-6221 to schedule your gum health evaluation.

Gum Lift Procedure at Our Inglewood Dental Clinic

At Toothopia, a laser gum lift reshapes and lifts the gum line to reveal more of each tooth, creating longer-looking teeth and a more balanced smile. Because we use advanced laser techniques instead of a scalpel, the procedure is minimally invasive, precise, and comfortable for most patients.

Here is how the gum lift procedure typically unfolds:

  1. We apply local anesthesia so the area is fully numb before any reshaping begins.
  2. Using laser gum contouring, we carefully remove and sculpt the excess gum tissue along the planned gum line.
  3. The laser seals soft tissue as it works, which limits bleeding and supports faster gum healing.
  4. We shape the final gum line for symmetry, then review your aftercare before you leave.

Most gum recontouring visits are completed in one appointment, and many patients return to their normal day soon after. Some mild gum sensitivity or gum swelling is normal for a few days and usually settles with gentle care and soft foods. For patients who want a full smile transformation, a Laser Gum Lift can be paired with a porcelain veneers plan for a coordinated result. Want to know if this treatment fits your smile goals? Benefits of Choosing Toothopia for Gum Lift Treatments in Inglewood

Choosing the right clinic for gum lift treatments comes down to precision, comfort, and a result that looks natural. Our Inglewood team pairs laser gum therapy with a cosmetic focus, so your gum line reshaping supports your whole smile rather than simply removing tissue.

Patients choose us for gum contouring treatment because of:

  • Laser precision: advanced laser techniques allow accurate gum tissue reshaping with less discomfort and quicker healing than traditional surgery.
  • A cosmetic dentistry approach: we plan every gum lift around smile symmetry, facial aesthetics, and your natural tooth proportion.
  • Comfort at every step: local anesthesia and a calm, unhurried pace keep the experience relaxed, even for nervous patients.
  • Personalized care: no two gum lines are the same, so each treatment plan is built around your goals and your gum health.
  • Coordinated smile enhancement: when it helps, we align your gum lift with other front teeth enhancements for a complete smile makeover.

The result is a soft tissue treatment that improves your smile appearance while protecting long-term gum health. Curious how these benefits apply to your smile?

The staff is outstanding, always helpful. Kelly has been a lot of help with keeping my balance straight, lol. She good at what she does. Dr. Michelle does outstanding work, I highly recommend her for all your dental work. My crown fit perfect, the color matched all the rest of my teeth. I’m so pleased with the work that I’ve had done.

I came here because my tooth was hurting. My gum had receded and exposed the root. They told me that my gums were never going to grow back and and that a deep cleaning was required to stop the recession and that later on skin grafting could restore my gums over the root. They also told me I had 12 cavities that needed to be filled. My prior dentist a year earlier told me my teeth were fine. They canceled my regular cleaning, as it was not sufficient for the amount of disarray in my mouth, and took me into a little room to discuss my several thousand dollar treatment solution. The woman there told me that I needed to go to my employer and get the higher level dental insurance so that I would only need to pay about $3k out of pocket. I left in a panic and asked my parents if we had a family history of complete mouth disintegration around age 30. They said no, and advised me to find another dentist. I bought a water pick and spent a few months religiously cleaning my gums and using the fancy mouthwash and my gums grew back over the root and no longer hurts(that advice was thanks to Dr. Google). Then, I found another dentist who took another set of X-rays and was astounded to hear him finish his exam and say “everything looks good, no cavities, just some minor plaque buildup and we’ll get that off right now”. Hope this can help someone else save some hard earned money.

Common Questions Inglewood Patients Have About Gum Lift Procedures

Who Is a Good Candidate for Gum Lift Treatment at an Inglewood Dental Clinic?

Patients with healthy gums who have a gummy smile, excess gum tissue, or an uneven gum line are often good candidates for a laser gum lift. During your consultation, the Toothopia team will evaluate your gum health and recommend the most appropriate treatment for your smile.

How Long Does a Gum Lift Appointment Take at Toothopia Dental in Inglewood?

Most Gum Lift treatments at our dental clinic are completed in a single visit, often within an hour. During your consultation, our team will explain the expected treatment time based on your smile and the number of teeth being reshaped.

What Are the Costs of Gum Contouring Treatment Near Me in Inglewood?

The cost of gum contouring treatment near you in Inglewood depends on the number of teeth involved, how much tissue is reshaped, and whether the work is paired with other cosmetic care. Because every smile is different, we provide a clear, personalized estimate after your evaluation rather than a fixed figure. Many patients can also use dental insurance for medically necessary gum work, which we are happy to review with you. Call 310-643-6221 to go over your options.
